Oliver Wyman, the management consulting arm of Marsh, has entered into an agreement to acquire CR3 Partners, a consulting firm known for its expertise in restructuring, turnaround management, and business distress advisory services. Financial terms of the transaction, which is expected to close later this quarter, were not disclosed.
The acquisition is intended to strengthen Oliver Wyman’s capabilities in areas including operational improvement, liquidity management, crisis response, and corporate restructuring. CR3 Partners has built a reputation for advising companies, lenders, boards, and investors through complex transformation and turnaround situations across industries such as healthcare, retail, energy, industrials, and financial services.
Executives from both firms said the combination will allow them to provide broader support to clients facing financial and operational challenges. Oliver Wyman noted that CR3’s practical turnaround experience complements its existing strategic consulting and performance transformation services.
As part of the deal, approximately 62 CR3 Partners professionals are expected to join Oliver Wyman across several U.S. offices, expanding the firm’s restructuring and transformation advisory team.
Oliver Wyman operates as part of Marsh, a global professional services company with operations in more than 130 countries. CR3 Partners, headquartered in Dallas, focuses on helping organizations navigate distress situations, improve operational performance, and maximize enterprise value.
