Crest Insurance Group has agreed to acquire Tegeler & Associates, a longstanding independent insurance agency based in Pinedale, Wyoming. The acquisition will significantly expand Crest’s presence across the state.
Founded in 1943, Tegeler & Associates has served Wyoming communities for more than 80 years. The Tegeler family acquired the agency in the 1970s, and today the firm operates 14 locations throughout Wyoming, providing insurance solutions to individuals, families and businesses.
The agency is led by CEO Kerry Majhanovich, along with Kelly Tegeler. Under their leadership, Tegeler has continued its focus on local relationships while providing clients access to a broad range of insurance carriers.
Crest CEO Cody Ritchie said the two organizations share a similar commitment to client relationships and the communities they serve. Ritchie, a University of Wyoming graduate and Wyoming native, said Crest is honored to become part of the agency’s longstanding legacy in the state.
Tegeler has built its business around combining local service with access to insurance products from multiple carriers. According to the announcement, that relationship-focused approach was an important factor in the decision to join Crest.
Following the acquisition, the Tegeler & Associates team will continue serving its existing clients and communities while gaining access to Crest’s broader resources and capabilities.
For Crest, the transaction adds an established independent agency with a substantial statewide footprint and decades of experience in the Wyoming insurance market. Crest provides property and casualty, life, health and employee benefits insurance services throughout the western United States.
The addition of Tegeler & Associates continues Crest’s expansion while preserving the local relationships and service model that Tegeler has developed over generations.
