Intermap Technologies has entered into a three-year subscription agreement with Colonnade Insurance S.A. to provide flood risk and property valuation technology for insurance underwriting and portfolio management.
Colonnade is a Luxembourg-based non-life insurer owned by Fairfax Financial Holdings. The agreement expands Intermap’s insurance analytics business and provides a path for its technology to be deployed across multiple European markets.
Under the agreement, Colonnade will use Intermap’s geospatial data and analytics to assess flood exposure, market value and replacement value within a single digital workflow. The system is designed to provide current property information while reducing the need for insurers to combine data from multiple sources.
The initial deployment will take place in the Czech Republic. Expansion into Slovakia and Hungary is planned for 2027, with the companies targeting broader adoption across Colonnade’s Central and Eastern European operations by 2028.
Patrick A. Blott, chairman and CEO of Intermap Technologies, said the agreement demonstrates the company’s strategy of turning its geospatial data and analytics capabilities into recurring subscription-based insurance solutions that can be used across different markets and portfolios.
For Colonnade, the technology is expected to support residential underwriting, portfolio reviews and customer-facing insurance processes.
Marián Bátovský, CEO of Colonnade Insurance in the Czech Republic, said combining property valuation and flood exposure information in one workflow can help the insurer establish appropriate insured values and improve consistency in underwriting.
Intermap’s technology combines proprietary, public and commercially available data with a 3D geospatial database covering more than 300 million square kilometers across more than 150 countries. Its insurance applications include property-level risk analysis, underwriting, accumulation management and portfolio monitoring.
The agreement comes as insurers continue to focus on catastrophe exposure and accurate property valuations. Intermap said its technology is designed to help carriers identify potential underinsurance, evaluate individual property risks and better understand concentrations of exposure across their portfolios.
