ANV Group Holdings has completed its acquisition of Assured Underwriting Group Limited (AUG), a London-based managing general agency specializing in financial protection products for tour operators and the travel industry.
The transaction has received all required regulatory approvals and expands ANV’s Credit & Protection business in the United Kingdom and Europe.
Founded in 1983, AUG specializes in insurance-backed travel bonds and also provides financial failure insurance and consulting services to tour operators navigating UK and European Union travel regulations. The company serves more than 1,600 clients across more than 10 European countries.
In addition to its London headquarters, AUG has expanded its presence in Continental Europe, including offices in France and Germany.
The acquisition adds travel protection and financial failure insurance capabilities to ANV’s Credit & Protection segment. The business already includes payment protection insurance, income protection insurance, structured credit, mortgage flow and credit default insurance.
Adam Karkowsky, chairman and CEO of ANV, said AUG brings specialized travel protection expertise and an established market presence to the company. He said the acquisition strengthens ANV’s Credit & Protection capabilities while providing a foundation for further expansion in European markets.
Richard Watson, CEO of Assured Underwriting Group, said AUG has significantly expanded across the UK and Europe over the past decade while maintaining its focus on specialized travel protection products. He said joining ANV will provide additional resources to support future growth while preserving AUG’s existing expertise, client relationships and culture.
The acquisition is part of ANV’s strategy of expanding through specialized underwriting businesses serving niche insurance markets.
