Crum & Forster (C&F) has launched a new admitted construction wrap-up insurance product designed for retail agents and general contractors managing large construction projects.
Structured as a Contractor Controlled Insurance Program (CCIP), the product combines workers’ compensation and general liability coverage under a coordinated insurance program. The approach is intended to provide consistent coverage for enrolled contractors and subcontractors while simplifying insurance administration and claims management.
The product is available for single-site and rolling construction projects and is designed for larger commercial developments. Target industries include healthcare, higher education, infrastructure, technology, data centers, warehouses, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and general building projects.
Douglas Cauti, assistant vice president and wrap-up and project leader at Crum & Forster, said construction wrap-ups can help general contractors manage increasingly complex projects. He said the new program combines coordinated coverage with construction expertise, risk management support and claims services.
Key features include uniform coverage and limits for enrolled contractors and subcontractors, loss prevention services, claims management, managed care, disability management and return-to-work programs.
C&F is also supporting the program with a dedicated team specializing in construction underwriting, risk engineering, claims, administration and program management.
Retail agents and contractors can also access additional C&F construction insurance capabilities, including builders’ risk and subcontractor default insurance.
The launch expands Crum & Forster’s construction insurance offerings while providing retail agents with another admitted option for clients seeking to manage insurance and risk across large construction projects.
