Inszone Insurance Services has acquired Two Fong’s Inc., a commercially focused independent insurance agency serving clients throughout the Bay Area. The transaction further expands Inszone’s California operations while adding specialized expertise in commercial property insurance.
Founded in 1982, Two Fong’s was acquired by current owners Al and Pete Fong in 2000. Since then, the agency has built its business largely through referrals and longstanding relationships within the local market.
Two Fong’s specializes in commercial property and lessor’s risk insurance. Its experience in the sector has helped the agency develop strong relationships with property managers who regularly refer clients to the firm.
As the agency’s leadership considered its future, Al and Pete Fong sought a partner that could provide greater operational resources while preserving the personalized service and family-business culture that have defined Two Fong’s.
Joining Inszone gives the agency access to the resources and capabilities of a national insurance brokerage while allowing its local account management and client service operations to remain in place.
Inszone CEO Chris Walters said Two Fong’s fits the company’s California growth strategy because of its established regional presence, commercial property expertise and strong referral network. He added that Inszone plans to support the agency with its national resources while maintaining the culture and client relationships behind its success.
The transaction represents another step in Inszone’s ongoing expansion through acquisitions of independent insurance agencies across the country. The company provides commercial and personal insurance as well as employee benefits solutions.
Helfer & Associates served as the exclusive advisor to Two Fong’s in connection with the transaction.
