ISC has acquired USASIA, a California-based commercial wholesale insurance brokerage, expanding its wholesale distribution capabilities and access to commercial insurance markets.
The acquisition strengthens ISC Wholesale’s presence on the West Coast and broadens the insurance products and services available to independent insurance agencies.
Founded in 1995 by Shirley Yeung, USASIA has more than 30 years of experience serving independent insurance agencies and developing relationships with insurance carriers.
The company specializes in commercial property and casualty insurance, offering coverage for commercial property, general liability, commercial auto, workers’ compensation, professional liability, umbrella, cyber and management liability risks.
Brad Nebel, president of ISC Wholesale, said the acquisition supports the company’s strategy of providing independent agencies with broader market access and additional opportunities for business growth.
Nebel noted that USASIA brings established carrier relationships, wholesale brokerage experience and specialized insurance expertise that complement ISC’s existing operations.
As part of the transition, Yeung will remain with the organization as a consultant to help maintain continuity for employees, agency partners and carrier relationships.
Yeung said joining ISC will provide USASIA’s agency partners with access to a broader range of insurance solutions while maintaining the personalized service and relationships the company has developed over the years.
The acquisition is part of ISC Wholesale’s continued expansion of its commercial insurance distribution platform, with a focus on strengthening carrier partnerships and supporting independent agencies.
Financial terms of the transaction were not provided in the announcement.
