Keystone has acquired Infinity Assurance Group (IAG), an independent insurance brokerage headquartered in Orange County, California. The transaction, effective August 3, 2026, establishes IAG as Keystone’s first Platform Partner in California and expands the brokerage to the West Coast.
IAG will continue operating under its existing leadership. Founder and Chairman John Kookootsedes and CEO Eric Doll will remain in their roles, while the agency’s employees, client relationships and local operations will remain in place.
The agency provides commercial and personal insurance, employee benefits, surety and risk management services. Its industry expertise includes manufacturing, construction, transportation, warehousing and logistics, hospitality and large property risks.
IAG also has experience placing complex liability, excess liability, management liability, workers’ compensation, high-net-worth personal lines and captive insurance programs.
Dan Girardi, chief strategy officer at Keystone, said IAG’s client-focused approach and ability to attract insurance producers made the brokerage a strong fit for Keystone’s platform.
Joining Keystone will give IAG access to additional carrier relationships, technology, producer development resources, risk management capabilities and M&A support while allowing the agency to maintain its existing leadership and local client relationships.
Doll said Keystone’s approach to IAG’s employees, clients and community was an important factor in choosing the partnership. Kookootsedes added that the agency wanted a platform that would respect the business it had built while providing additional resources for its team and clients.
The acquisition continues Keystone’s expansion through a model that includes both acquired Platform Partners and its broader network of independent insurance agencies.
Insurance Journal recently ranked Keystone as the 17th-largest retail insurance broker in the United States.
Dowling Hales served as the exclusive financial advisor to Infinity Assurance Group in the transaction. Financial terms were not disclosed.
