NFP has expanded its personal risk and private client capabilities in the Midwest through the acquisition of certain assets of Signature Personal Insurance, LLC, an independent personal lines agency based in the Greater Kansas City area.
Signature Personal Insurance focuses on serving high-net-worth individuals and families with complex personal insurance needs, including coverage for luxury homes, fine art, collectible vehicles and other specialized assets. The agency was founded in 2004 and has built its business around customized personal risk management and strong carrier relationships.
As part of the transaction, Signature Personal Insurance founder Roper DeGarmo will join NFP as vice president. He will report to Mary Mullen, senior vice president of Personal Risk for NFP’s Central Region.
NFP said the acquisition will enhance its Private Client Group by adding specialized expertise, technology-enabled personal risk management tools and deeper market reach in the Kansas City area. Company leadership said Signature’s experience with affluent clients will support NFP’s broader effort to deliver integrated risk management solutions for individuals and families.
DeGarmo said joining NFP will give Signature’s team and clients access to broader resources, expanded capabilities and additional insurance talent across the Midwest.
