Novacore has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Diesel Insurance Solutions Inc., a California-based managing general underwriter specializing in cross-border trucking, physical damage and cargo insurance.
The acquisition will expand Novacore’s Specialty Transportation division by adding underwriting capabilities focused on trucking companies and logistics operators transporting freight across the U.S.-Mexico border.
Founded and led by Jason Wexler, Diesel Insurance Solutions provides specialized insurance coverage for transportation businesses, particularly those operating in the cross-border freight market.
Following the acquisition, Diesel is expected to expand its product offerings beyond physical damage and cargo insurance into additional specialty transportation lines. The expansion will allow Novacore to offer a broader range of coverage solutions to trucking and logistics clients.
Aaron Miller, CEO of Novacore, said Diesel brings specialized underwriting experience in a segment of the transportation insurance market that has limited coverage options. He said the acquisition supports Novacore’s strategy of expanding its specialty insurance capabilities while creating opportunities for Diesel to develop additional products.
As part of the transaction, Diesel’s entire team will join Novacore.
Wexler said joining Novacore will give Diesel access to a larger insurance agent network, additional technology and resources to support its growth. He added that the partnership will allow the company to build on its existing cross-border trucking business while entering new specialty insurance markets.
The planned acquisition continues Novacore’s expansion of its specialty insurance platform, with a focus on underwriting expertise, technology and insurance solutions for complex risks.
The companies announced the agreement on October 13, 2026. The transaction has not yet been completed.
