Relation Insurance Services has acquired the assets of LaPlaca Insurance Inc., an independent insurance agency based in Chalfont, Pennsylvania.
The transaction became effective June 30, 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 1988, LaPlaca serves clients throughout the greater Philadelphia area, New York, New Jersey and several other states. The agency provides commercial insurance, employee benefits and personal lines coverage.
Anne La Placa, vice president of LaPlaca Insurance, said her father founded the agency with an emphasis on quality and trust. She said Relation shares those values while providing additional resources and capabilities that will allow the agency to expand the services available to clients.
According to Relation, the LaPlaca team brings a combined 140 years of insurance industry experience to the organization.
Tim Hall, CEO of Relation Insurance Services, said LaPlaca has consistently maintained client retention rates in the high 90% range, which he said reflects the agency’s focus on longstanding customer relationships.
Hall added that LaPlaca’s experience and approach to client service made the agency a strong fit for Relation.
The acquisition adds another established independent agency to Relation’s platform while expanding its presence in Pennsylvania and the broader Northeast insurance market.
