Westfield Specialty has agreed to acquire the renewal rights for DOXA Insurance Holdings’ Arris Property Underwriters program, expanding its presence in the excess and surplus (E&S) commercial property market. The transaction is expected to take effect on July 1, 2026.
Arris Property Underwriters launched in early 2024 as a wholesale-focused MGA specializing in difficult-to-place commercial property risks. The program serves sectors including real estate, hospitality, healthcare, education, municipalities and light manufacturing, offering excess property capacity through a network of wholesale brokers.
Westfield Specialty said the acquisition aligns with its strategy of selectively expanding its specialty property portfolio through targeted opportunities. The company noted it will work with brokers and policyholders to ensure a smooth transition as renewal business moves to Westfield Specialty.
According to DOXA, the Arris Property program will be suspended effective July 1, 2026, with service continuing for policies already in force. Existing policyholders will continue to receive servicing support while renewal opportunities transition under the agreement.
The acquisition follows Westfield Specialty’s previous use of renewal rights transactions to grow its specialty insurance operations. In recent years, the company has acquired renewal rights to other commercial property portfolios as part of its broader expansion strategy in the E&S marketplace.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
