World Insurance Associates has acquired the business of Cubriel Insurance Agency LLC, a property and casualty insurance agency based in Laredo, Texas. The transaction was completed on June 1, 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Cubriel Insurance Agency provides both commercial and personal lines insurance to its clients. The acquisition expands World Insurance Associates’ operations and presence in the Texas insurance market.
Noe Cubriel, president of Cubriel Insurance Agency, said joining World will provide the agency with opportunities to grow its business while giving clients access to additional insurance products and services.
Rich Eknoian, executive chairman and founder of World Insurance Associates, welcomed Cubriel to the organization and said the acquisition further strengthens World’s presence in Texas.
World Insurance Associates is a Top 50 U.S. insurance brokerage that has continued to expand its national footprint through acquisitions of independent insurance agencies and other insurance businesses.
Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla provided legal counsel to World on the transaction. Eduardo Romero, PLLC served as legal counsel to Cubriel. No other advisors, diligence firms or legal counsel were disclosed.
