World Insurance Associates has acquired the business of TE Freuler, an independent insurance agency with offices in Somerset and Newark, New Jersey. The transaction was completed on June 1, 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 1963, TE Freuler provides commercial and personal insurance products and has served clients in New Jersey for more than six decades.
Jack J. Butler, president of TE Freuler, said the agency has focused on building long-term client relationships while helping customers obtain appropriate coverage at competitive prices. He said joining World will allow the agency to expand the range of products and services available to its clients.
Rich Eknoian, executive chairman and founder of World Insurance Associates, welcomed TE Freuler to the organization and noted the agency’s longstanding presence in New Jersey, World’s home state.
The acquisition adds another established New Jersey insurance agency to World’s growing national brokerage platform.
Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla provided legal counsel to World on the transaction. Satin and Lee Law P.C. served as legal counsel to TE Freuler, while Centurian Group advised the agency. No other advisors, diligence firms or legal counsel were disclosed.
