Both agencies are led by insurance industry veteran Rolando Gonzalez and bring complementary strengths across personal and commercial insurance lines. Coastal Insurance Services, founded in Florida in 2008, built a strong reputation in personal lines coverage, while Illinois-based Optimal Insurance Solutions developed a fast-growing commercial insurance business focused heavily on trucking and contracting industries.
In 2024, Gonzalez combined the two operations under the Optimal umbrella to create a more diversified insurance platform serving both personal and commercial clients. As growth accelerated through referrals and long-term client relationships, Gonzalez said the agencies reached a point where additional operational support and infrastructure became necessary to continue scaling effectively.
Inszone CEO Chris Walters said the acquisition gives the company immediate entry into one of the nation’s largest and most competitive insurance markets while strengthening its position across the Southeast.
