eHealth has launched Content Genius, an artificial intelligence-powered platform designed to automate the collection, verification and publication of Medicare Advantage plan information ahead of the annual Medicare enrollment period.
The platform replaces a largely manual process used to review plan information from dozens of insurance carriers, including benefits, provider networks and prescription drug formularies.
Previously, eHealth employees had to review information submitted by insurers through emails, PDF documents, spreadsheets and other formats. Content Genius automates much of that work, reducing processing time by more than 90%, according to the company.
eHealth said the platform delivers accuracy comparable to its previous manual process while allowing the company to process information for thousands of Medicare Advantage plans more efficiently.
Ketan Babaria, chief digital and AI officer at eHealth, said accurate plan information is essential to helping Medicare beneficiaries compare coverage options and make informed enrollment decisions. He said Content Genius modernizes a process that has traditionally required significant time and resources.
The company is currently using Content Genius for Medicare Advantage plans and intends to expand the technology to supplemental insurance products, including dental, vision and hospital indemnity coverage, as well as individual and family health insurance.
The launch builds on eHealth’s existing use of artificial intelligence in its insurance marketplace operations.
The company previously introduced Alice, an AI-powered voice agent that handles after-hours Medicare Advantage inquiries, including enrollment assistance and post-enrollment customer service.
According to eHealth’s internal analysis, Alice has eliminated after-hours wait times for qualified calls, with 71% of callers rating the experience as exceptional. The company also reported a 27% higher intent-to-enroll rate compared with human screeners in a 2025 A/B test.
The launch of Content Genius reflects eHealth’s continued investment in AI technology to improve operational efficiency and support consumers comparing Medicare insurance options.
