Jencap Group has acquired Concorde General Agency, a regional wholesale insurance operation specializing in personal lines, commercial lines, and farm and ranch coverage.
Concorde will retain its existing brand and operate as part of Jencap Insurance Services Inc. (JCIS). The acquisition expands Jencap’s presence in the Upper Midwest while adding Concorde’s regional expertise and insurance market relationships to Jencap’s national wholesale platform.
Bob Hanna, president and CEO of Concorde General Agency, said finding a partner with similar values and a shared commitment to independent insurance agents was an important part of the decision to join Jencap.
According to Hanna, becoming part of Jencap will give Concorde access to additional insurance products, markets and specialty expertise while expanding the geographic reach of the solutions it can offer its agency partners.
Mark Maher, president of Jencap, said Concorde is a strategic addition that strengthens the company’s Upper Midwest operations and expands the specialty products and expertise available to its agency partners.
Maher also pointed to Concorde’s established industry relationships and entrepreneurial culture as factors that made the company a good fit for Jencap.
For independent agents working with Concorde, the acquisition is expected to provide access to Jencap’s broader market relationships and national resources while maintaining the Concorde brand and its regional approach to doing business.
The transaction continues Jencap’s expansion as one of the largest wholesale insurance organizations in the United States. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
