Vertafore has launched two new artificial intelligence-powered tools designed to help independent insurance agencies automate policy processing, reduce manual data entry and improve the accuracy of policy information.
The company announced the general availability of its Velocity Policy Intake Agent and Velocity Policy Check Agent on October 15, 2026.
The two tools address common administrative challenges for insurance agencies: entering policy information into an agency management system (AMS) and verifying that issued policies match the coverage originally requested.
The Velocity Policy Intake Agent automates the process of extracting policy information from documents and entering it into the agency management system. This helps agencies maintain more complete policy records while reducing the time employees spend on manual data entry.
The Velocity Policy Check Agent focuses on reviewing issued insurance policies to identify potential differences between the coverage requested and the coverage provided by the carrier.
Together, the tools are designed to create a more efficient process from policy intake through coverage verification, helping agencies improve data accuracy and reduce the risk of errors.
Vertafore said more complete and reliable policy information can also support other agency operations, including customer service, remarketing, quoting and proposal preparation.
James Thom, president and chief AI officer at Vertafore, said agencies rely on policy information daily, but important details do not always make it into their management systems.
He explained that the new AI tools are intended to improve the quality and accessibility of agency data, allowing employees to respond more effectively to client needs while identifying opportunities for business growth.
The new products are part of Vertafore’s broader Velocity AI platform and its Agentic Agency initiative, which aims to integrate artificial intelligence into insurance agency workflows, including sales, submissions, servicing, accounting and business intelligence.
The launch reflects Vertafore’s continued investment in AI technology to help independent agencies streamline administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency.
