Inszone Insurance Services has continued its nationwide acquisition strategy with the addition of Chelf Insurance Group, LLC, an independent insurance agency serving individuals and businesses in Stillwater and surrounding communities.
The transaction expands Inszone’s operations in Oklahoma while adding an agency with capabilities spanning employee benefits, property and casualty insurance, personal lines and commercial coverage.
Chelf Insurance Group was formally established in 2024 by co-owners Justin Crane and Nate Crow. Despite its relatively recent formation, the agency quickly developed an established presence in its local insurance market after acquiring a 50-year-old book of business in 2025.
Crane and Crow bring more than four decades of combined insurance industry experience to the business. Along with key team member Deanna Whitley, the agency has focused on maintaining strong customer relationships and providing personalized insurance guidance to clients throughout the Stillwater area.
The agency maintains a significant employee benefits practice while offering a broad portfolio of property and casualty products. Its insurance offerings include homeowners, automobile, commercial and workers’ compensation coverage, giving the firm experience serving both personal and business insurance customers.
Chelf Insurance Group’s decision to join Inszone developed from an existing industry relationship with Justin Stephenson of Stephenson, Baggs & Guthrie, who introduced the acquisition opportunity.
For Crane and Crow, the opportunity to gain additional resources while expanding the agency’s property and casualty capabilities played an important role in the decision to partner with Inszone.
The Chelf leadership team said its early conversations with Inszone executives helped demonstrate that the organizations were a strong fit. Access to enhanced marketing capabilities and additional property and casualty resources were among the advantages the agency identified through the transaction.
As part of Inszone, the Chelf team will gain access to a larger national insurance platform while continuing to focus on its existing client relationships and local market.
Inszone will provide the agency with additional back-office resources and technology, including access to the Epic agency management system. Those capabilities are intended to support the Chelf team as it continues developing its business while maintaining its established approach to serving customers.
Chris Walters, CEO of Inszone Insurance Services, said the Chelf team brings a combination of entrepreneurial energy, extensive insurance experience and established relationships within the community.
Walters added that Inszone’s national resources and agency management capabilities will provide additional support as Chelf continues serving clients and pursuing growth opportunities in the years ahead.
The acquisition reflects Inszone’s broader strategy of expanding both organically and through the purchase of independent insurance agencies throughout the United States. The company has steadily increased its geographic reach by acquiring agencies with established client relationships, experienced insurance professionals and expertise across specialized market segments.
